It’s Just Your Imagination!

IN PROGRESS….

BOOK #2

IT’S JUST YOUR IMAGINATION!

The ABCs to Facing Our Fears

Due to a major move from city to country, Book #2 is not as far along as I would like.

My goal was to have it published before the end of 2023. But – it’s looking more and more like sometime next year. Sadly, I need to be realistic. After months of hoping for something different, I have owned up to the fact that some of my Letters need partial or full revision. I want my second book to be as good or better than my first book. And I cannot rush the process just to get it published. Although, mentally, I’m ready to move onto Book Three, in my heart I need to finish out Book Two in the best way possible. And that is to give it all of my attention. Of course, working full-time is not helping any, nor is having and needing to live life as it comes with all it’s craziness and family, errands, and need for proper nutrition, fitness, and rest.

So, now that I’m done with Round Two of edits, I will be looking at each section separately to see if it has and will continue to stand the test of time. Wish me luck and thank you for hanging in there with me.

Stay tuned here for regular updates (today’s date: 4/14/2023).

Love and hugs, Virg

A DIARY OF PROGRESS UPDATES:

May 15, 2021:

On the first weekend of May, I made some amazing progress on my second book. I discovered that in order to make get farther along that I would need to break my book out into three sections. I did it. And now, I’m on my way to getting it written.

July 25, 2021

A lot has happened since May 15. I have been residing at our new homeplace since June 28.

Our SA house has a contract on it with a closing date of August 31. And our son is building, or framing in, our little casita. He should wrap up his part of it in the next two days. Then, it will be awhile before the next person will be able to continue on it.

So far, I have not been able to work on my second book since all that success back in May. Life has me organizing and cleaning the dilapidated house we are currently staying in. And I am still running back to SA to bring the last of our things south.

September 13, 2021

I am still not writing on my second book. Two things are keeping from proceeding ahead. Exhaustion and time.

To be creative, I need energy and…time. But…I am not worried. Soon, we will be fully moved from the city to the country, and I will have the luxury of rest and of time. I am eagerly looking forward to that moment…soon.

Hang in there with me. How can you help?

Send some positive vibes my way. Just a few more weeks, and we will be fully in one place.

Thank you and God bless!

October 23, 2021

I am back to writing on Book Two. It is slow-going, as there is so much to do around here. BUT I am writing!

After a hiccup with the appraisal on our SA house, we closed on September 27 (our son’s birthday). Two weeks later, and hubs is fully retired and on site full-time. Yay!

Me? I’m busy with everything: paperwork, chores, reading, working out,…and writing (smiles). My goal, in addition to writing on Book Two, is to up my marketing on Book One. So I am back at being my busy-self!

I will keep you posted – as always. If you would like to be added to my newsletter list, please email me at honeysucklepublishingllc@yahoo.com

Until the next time, stay safe and blessed….

November 24, 2021

On November 4 and 5, I decided to turn an author event into a mini writing retreat. It was a lot of fun! Both the event and the writing. I am now in section three of my book and couldn’t be more pleased with my progress.

My goal for the Thanksgiving break is to spend part of Friday and Saturday writing, so let’s see if I can make that happen.

In the meantime, have a wonderful and safe Happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

December 18, 2021

On the Friday after Thanksgiving, I spent an hour or so writing and making progress on Book Two. I know exactly what I want to write. It’s just a matter of making the time to get what is in my brain down onto paper.

What is my plan? First, to get my filing caught up. To be as efficient and effective as possible, I feel that I need to be more organized than I am.

For years, I have put off doing the one thing that will bring semblance to my life. Once my files are in some sort of order, or at least in folders and binders, then I can relax…and write.

Am I worried that I won’t get Book Two finished? No. I believe I will get to it next. With my goal of getting my paperwork, personal and business, in files by end of year, I should be able to start back on Book Two by January 1. Win, win!

As usual, I will keep you posted. In the meantime, Merry Christmas and Feliz Navidad!

January 17, 2022

Great news! I am finished hand-writing section three of Book Two. Yay, and thank you to everyone who sent me all those positive writing vibes. I couldn’t have done it otherwise!

What’s next? Typing. Yes, typing up what I’ve hand-written. The good news there is that at least the first section is typed up from way back when I first wrote. The thing is now I might have rearranging to do before I can type a draft ready for printing. But we’re getting closer!

My next goal is to have it typed by the end of February. I was going to try for the end of January, but I do have a few other projects going on. Plus, it would leave with no time for fitness. The key to retirement and to writing is not to stress out about our own timelines. The writing will get done.

Until my next update, y’all take care and continue to be safe out there. Hugs!
